Doxie Lowdown does not currently document independent lab tests, comparative field trials, or repeat-use durability tests for the gear discussed in its articles. We do not publish product rankings based on tests that were not performed and documented.

What our worksheets are

The harness scorecard, home setup audit, and other printables organize observations a reader can make in their own circumstances. Any scores or criteria are site-defined planning prompts, not validated clinical, engineering, crash-safety, or product-quality measures. A worksheet result cannot certify a product or guarantee an outcome.

How to use a checklist

Follow the relevant product maker's instructions and any travel-provider requirements. Record what you observe for your own dog and home; do not generalize one dog's response into a universal recommendation. Stop if your dog appears uncomfortable. For health or safety concerns, consult the appropriate professional.

Factual care and safety claims should link to a named, reputable source on the page. Readers should check current provider rules when planning travel. We update a page's displayed date when making a substantive change, but an update date is not a claim that every other page was reviewed.
