How the math works
Ramp length equals height divided by tangent of the selected angle. Lower target angles produce longer, gentler ramps.
Practical angle range
For many doxies, 16 to 20 degrees is easier to walk slowly than steeper bed or couch access setups.
Planning tool, not diagnosis
If your dog shows pain, weakness, slipping, or behavior changes, stop relying on the setup and contact your vet.
